Thank you for taking the time to read a little about me and the beginnings of 'My Favorite Things'.
I am the second generation of my family to be born in the scenic rural town of Bacchus Marsh in a valley west of Melbourne, Victoria Australia. I have three lovely boys (Ian, Beau and Zac) who originally inspired me to do a cross stitch family tree. It was from there my love for craft began and is with me today.
Over the years I experimented with many and varied crafts including cross stitch, embroidery, cloth dolls, bears, mosaics, leadlight and quilting. Fabric and thread became my passion.
In 1999 my sister (Marg) and I opened a patchwork shop in Bacchus Marsh called MOM Fabricworks. With the demand for classes I started to design patterns for dolls, bears, bags and quilts and discovered a new aspect to my passion. We shut shop after 3 years due to other commitments and with the encouragement and support from my husband Graham, family and friends I expanded on my few original designs and 'My Favorite Things' was born.
I now have the enjoyment of designing as well as making my own projects. I gain inspiration from my home, family, friends, beautiful surroundings, students and customers alike. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of them for their continued support, encouragement and custom.
And I would like to thank you for your visit to my site; I hope you have enjoyed the visit.
Happy Stitching!
Cheers,
Kerry
